Chemistry & Metallurgy

VTU is your experienced partner for all areas of chemical plant construction.

Through numerous projects in different areas of the chemicals industry, we combine special know-how with creativity that crosses industry boundaries in order to solve process-related tasks.

The composition and design of individual process stages are the most important planning steps and decisively influence the functional efficiency, the realisation time and the investment and operating costs of the plant. Compared to construction costs and general planning costs, the scope of work required for this is small, but the impact on product costs is major.

VTU has recognised the importance of the initial planning phases – from the conceptual design, through the scale-up of laboratory tests, up to the basic engineering – and made this a priority of its know-how.

With excellent project management, we follow and monitor all planning services up to production that meets the specifications. This applies to both new planning and also to plant optimisation and conversion.

We have specific experience in the following areas:

  • fine chemicals
  • inorganic chemicals
  • non-ferrous metallurgy (tungsten, zinc, vanadium, nickel, copper, molybdenum,…)
  • syntheses
  • multifunctional systems
  • solvent recovery
  • safety engineering
  • high-temperature systems, furnaces
  • exhaust air and wastewater purification

Technologies: mixing, stirring, reactors, filtration, distillation, extraction, drying, calcination, precipitation
