About VTU

The VTU Group companies have been planning and developing systems for the process industry for more than 33 years. Our services range from consulting to the general planning of major investments. We are just as familiar with the life sciences, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology sectors as we are with the chemicals, metallurgy, and oil & gas industries. What began in 1990 as a small one-man engineering firm has developed over time into an internationally active technology group with over 1300 employees.

They work in interdisciplinary teams at 35 locations in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Romania and Belgium on projects of all sizes all over the world. Our customers include renowned as well as innovative groups such as Novartis, Evonik and Boehringer Ingelheim. Our team is as diverse as our fields of work and tasks.

We attach great importance to a friendly working atmosphere characterised by mutual trust, strong cohesion and tolerance to ensure that our colleagues feel comfortable with us. Respectful interaction with one another is a top priority at VTU – regardless of age, gender, origin, religion, education or other characteristics.

VTU has already received several awards for its outstanding qualities as an employer: Hewitt has named us an “Attractive Employer” three times so far, and we have also been awarded the “Great Place to Work” seal of approval several times. This makes us proud, of course, as these recognitions show that we are on the right track. At the same time though, they are also an incentive for us not to rest on our laurels but to become even better in this area. Because we are well aware: our employees are the most valuable asset in the company!

What our employees say

Marijan Culina Branch Manager in Braunschweig

The team spirit, flexibility and dynamic of VTU encouraged me to start as a branch manager at VTU. The sustainability, the varied work and the commitment of all colleagues to VTU have confirmed me 100% in my decision.

Doreen Walther Senior Project Controller in Hattersheim

VTU's sustainable philosophy was one of the reasons why I wanted to work here. Together with my colleagues, we create solutions that serve economic growth and at the same time are beneficial to the environment. Since the first day, I have been able to experience team spirit and collegiality among the employees on a daily basis. I am very grateful to be part of the VTU team.

Florentina Botoc Team Lead CAD Engineering in Ploiesti

I have been working at VTU for 10 years now. Over this long period of time, two things have been significant for me at VTU: having a secure, stable job - a solid foundation that is offered to me - and at the same time, there is the fascination of always having new, varied tasks to solve. Projects of different sizes, from different industries or from all over the world - it never gets boring

Dr. Sebastian Zobel Process Engineer in Dortmund

What I appreciate most about my work at VTU is the collaborative working atmosphere. Regardless of whether you are a young professional or a manager, sharing knowledge is actively practised and the doors to support each other are always open. In this way, everyone here becomes a little better every day and thus effectively contributes to VTU's success. Thanks to everyone for this great cooperation and all the best to VTU on its 30th anniversary!

Dr. Michael Koncar Founder of VTU

It started 30 years ago with a lot of enthusiasm. Since that time we have been delivering this enthusiasm to our customers, combined with a lot of expertise and state-of-the-art technology. We have always succeeded in passing on the VTU feeling to new team members. This formula for success will be maintained by VTU, even if we become more international and larger. Best wishes for your birthday, dear VTU!
