RED Engineering employs 36 individuals and has its headquarters in Linz, with other locations in Deggendorf (DE) and Bratislava (SK). The Linz-based planning company will bring many years of experience to the group, from designing facilities to 3D planning to coordinating assembly.
Both companies have already worked together as partners. Since 2013, RED Engineering has been supporting VTU in general planning projects when it comes to detail engineering and 3D planning. The company was also involved as a reliable partner in the largest projects which have been carried out by VTU to date.
Within the VTU Group, RED Engineering will continue to be run as an independent company under the same name. It shall also be managed by the same managing directors and partners.
Robert Schwarz, Managing Director of the VTU Group, sees great potential in the group’s investment in RED Engineering:
“Our fusion with RED is the result of the excellent cooperation which we have enjoyed to date and represents an important step forward for VTU with regard to achieving its goal to become a full-service supplier. Integrating all of our subsections into a single, all-inclusive 3D planning system is one of the major keys to success in a modern, digitized project environment with increasingly shorter lead times. These are demands which VTU and RED can now fulfill even more effectively, and which they can also drive further forward through joint developments.”
Managing Director of RED Engineering Klaus Steinberger believes that the engineering office’s integration into the international corporate group presents many advantages:
“Digitization, BIM, digital twin, these are just a few key words which illustrate the changes taking place within the field of plant engineering. We believe that these are all changes which can only be faced with support from a strong partner. This, combined with the opportunity to offer facility concepts and planning services which span a range of disciplines, was our primary reason for fusing with VTU.”
