In April 2016, there was a change in management at VTU Engineering in Austria.24.05.2016
Alexander Asbäck (44) took over the operative management of the area of pharmaceuticals and will henceforth manage the Austrian engineering subsidiary of the VTU group – together with existing Managing Directors Dr. Robert Wutti, responsible for operations and marketing, and Dr. Friedrich Fröschl, responsible for finances and internal affairs.
The new Managing Director studied process engineering at the Montanuniversität Leoben, and has worked at VTU for 16 years. Starting as a Planning Engineer in pharmaceuticals projects in Kundl, Tyrol, he passed through the stations of Project Manager, Branch Manager and Division Manager for branches in Austria and southern Germany. Since 2010 he isis part of the strategy team of VTU Engineering, and therefore has actively shaped the direction of the company for several years.
Alexander Asbäck follows Robert Schwarz in his position. In future, the long standing VTU Managing Director will concentrate intensively on his position in the company management of VTU Holding, in which he coordinates the cooperation of all VTU Engineering subsidiaries, in the area of operations, particularly in relation to large projects and internationalisation.
Alexander Asbäck will continue to have intensive involvement in the VTU sites in Tyrol and southern Germany for the time being. He will gradually take over the VTU Engineering agendas from Robert Schwarz.
