International technology and engineering company, VTU, one of the market leaders in handling CAPEX projects in the life sciences industry, strengthens its focus by appointing Thomas Viertel as Managing Director Life Sciences.
Thomas Viertel brings over 25 years of in-depth experience in managing CAPEX projects in Asia and Europe to his new role. Through his experience he has gained deep insight into biopharmaceutical manufacturing, the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, medical device manufacturing, the nutrition industry and R&D laboratory equipment. His involvement in numerous, large-scale CAPEX life sciences projects has given him a deep understanding of innovative process system design, plant design and overall planning. Additionally, he brings with him a thorough understanding of the challenges in translating owner requirements into cost-effective design criteria.
Thomas Viertel joined VTU as Head of Life Science in autumn 2018. Since then, he has been significantly involved in the success of the department. In his new role as Managing Director, he will continuously expand VTU’s offering to its customers by bundling skills and capabilities to an even greater extent.
