Are you currently completing an apprenticeship as an electrical technician, automation technician, or in a similar technical field and wondering if a career as an automation engineer is right for you? VTU Engineering Schweiz AG offers the ideal opportunity: In this technical internship, you’ll gain insight into exciting projects in process automation and EIC (Electrical, Instrumentation & Control) technology. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and learn how automation is implemented in real-world industrial settings. Your contribution to our success:

  • Support in process automation planning: Actively contribute to concept development and assist in implementing automation projects, including coordination with other disciplines
  • Insights into ATEX requirements: Support the design of explosion-protected systems and assist with consulting and inspection tasks
  • Participation in installation approvals and inspections: Assist with on-site electrical inspections and learn how to prepare and conduct them
  • Project support on construction sites: Get behind-the-scenes insights into planning, organizing, and monitoring in construction management
  • Support in functional safety: Learn about relevant standards and help implement safety-related functions

Your profile:

  • You’re eager to apply your theoretical knowledge in practice and explore exciting industrial construction projects
  • You have completed an apprenticeship as an electrical technician, automation technician, or similar
  • Initial knowledge of electrical standards or experience in the pharma/chemical industry is a plus
  • You’re motivated to gain on-site experience with customers
  • You enjoy working in a team, are communicative, and take responsibility
  • Good German and English skills
