For our site in Ploiesti & Bucharest (Romania), we are looking for professionals who are interested in design engineering. From the beginning you will work as a team member in our project teams. The position is subordinated to the CAD Department Team Lead
Your typical tasks will include:
- As a CAD Drafter, your primary responsibility is to develop and maintain high-quality process engineering drawings, including:
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
- Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs)
- Create and update flowsheet drawings based on engineering input, standards, and project requirements
- Work within database-driven CAD platforms such as COMOS (Siemens), SmartPlant P&ID (Hexagon), AutCad plant PID (Autodesk)
- Ensure consistency and integrity of data across drawings and engineering databases
- Collaborate closely with process engineers, mechanical designers, and instrumentation teams to reflect accurate technical specifications
- Maintain drawing standards, symbols, and templates in line with company and client requirements
- Support revision control and documentation workflows within the engineering design lifecycle
- Daily interaction with colleagues from other offices
- Interactive design review sessions
- On-site activities when necessary (e.g P&ID checking)
Application Requirements:
- At least High School graduate
- Good knowledge and experience in AutoCAD 2D and 3D
- Good spatial orientation
- Experience in industrial plant / design engineering would be an advantage
- Working within given budget and schedule
- Fluent in Romanian and English in speaking and writing
- High flexibility and willingness to travel
- Able to work independently as well as within a team
- Analytical thinking with interpersonal skills
Will be considered as an advantage:
- Previous experience working in plant design companies
- Experience with Intergraph Smart Plant P&ID
- Experience with Siemens Comos
- Knowledge of relevant plant design drafting codes and standards
