Christmas tradition: VTU once again donates 30,000 euros for a charitable purpose

16. December 2021

Christmas is coming and, as in previous years, the VTU Group is donating to charitable organizations instead of giving presents to customers and partners. This year, the amount of 30,000 euros will be distributed to three organizations: Doctors Without Borders, PRIMAKLIMA and SOS Children's Villages International.

The year is nearing its end and the gift hunt is taking its annual course. At the internationally active VTU Group, which designs plants for the life sciences and chemical industries, a different tradition has become established: As in previous years, a sum of money is donated this year that provides relevant support for charitable organizations. The company, on the other hand, will not be giving out any business Christmas presents.

Through an internal online survey, it was up to the employees of VTU to decide from a wide selection of charitable associations and organizations which three should be supported. This year, 5,000 euros will be donated to the organization SOS Children's Villages International, which has been working tirelessly for the interests of children and young people all over the world since 1949. A further 10,000 euros will go to our "green lungs": the German organization PRIMAKLIMA is actively committed to protecting the climate by protecting forests and planting trees around the world - now numbering over 14 million. The sum of 15,000 euros reaches the largest independent organization for emergency medical aid, which is now celebrating its 50th anniversary: Doctors Without Borders. They provide help where medical care has collapsed.

"Another very challenging year in many ways is lying behind us all. In view of the Christmas season, there was no question at VTU that we would also like to maintain the beautiful, meaningful tradition of donating in 2021 - even though it is always a difficult decision to choose who receives the financial help. But now we are very happy to be able to support these three organizations in their so valuable, important and outstanding work", says Friedrich Fröschl, CEO of VTU Group GmbH.
